Meg + Beau at The Springs, Edmond Oklahoma

by Wedding Session, Portfolio

We had the most beautiful start to 2024 with Meg and Beau’s wedding.  On a cold wintery rainy day, Meg and Beau took center stage at The Springs in Edmond, one of our favorite venues!

Each wedding is unique, and when we arrive I know full well we don’t know every single moment the bride has planned and I am completely ok with that! While I assist with the timeline, I do love when little surprises pop up- it definitely keeps the day exciting and upbeat! After getting dressed, Meg wanted her glam squad to see her in her beautiful dress. Everyone was so excited, and Meg was ecstatic! While I was taking those pictures, Shane was taking pictures of Beau looking dapper in his suit. We are always mindful of keeping couples separated when they choose not to see each other before the ceremony- it’s a tricky dance at times, but we haven’t had an incident yet!

Amidst the chill, Meg and Beau opted for a heartwarming first touch.  I’ll never forget the excitement in Beau’s voice as he grabbed Meg’s hand for the first time that day.  Rather than a First Look, some couples prefer a moment of connection before the ceremony by having a first touch; this intimate gesture allowed them to share their excitement, calm any nerves, and savor the anticipation of the day ahead. The first touch set the tone for the love that would be celebrated throughout the ceremony!  It’s a chance for the couple to talk, even have a gift exchange, and just share a few laughs before the big moment. Afterwards, Meg quickly walked back to the bridal suite with a big smile on her face.

Their bridal party took some quick photos, and we were able to get photos with Meg and her family, and Beau with his family before the ceremony.

Love knows no temperature, and Meg and Beau’s wedding was proof of that. Despite the chilly weather, the house was packed with close family and friends who love them both. Their presence added warmth to the occasion and made the celebration even more special.

Meg and Beau exchanged vows in the stunning new white chapel at The Springs. The chapel, with its elegant architecture and pristine surroundings, provided a perfect setting for the couple to profess their love and commitment to each other.  I love that couples now have yet another awesome choice of where to say “I Do!”

The ceremony itself was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and heartfelt moments. The vows exchanged echoed through the chapel, resonating with the joyous spirits of those in attendance. As Meg and Beau sealed their commitment with a kiss, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

We absolutely loved being chosen to capture Meg and Beau’s big day. To start the year off with such an amazing couple was a blessing. Thank you Meg and Beau and cheers to you both!
