Not at all, but they're welcome if you have something meaningful to you both. A blanket, a sign, your pet, anything that tells a bit of your story. If you're not sure what might work, just ask and I'll help you figure out whether it adds to the photos or gets in the way.

Not all of my collections include an engagement session, but you can absolutely add one if it’s not already included.
Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for us to get to know each other before the wedding, and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. It also gives you a preview of how I work and what to expect on the big day.

Absolutely. Most engagement sessions take less than an hour, and honestly, some couples feel completely satisfied after just 20 minutes. There are a few key poses and moments I always make sure to capture, and once I feel we’ve hit the mark, I’ll let you know. From there, it’s totally up to you. If you’re happy with what we’ve got, we can wrap it up. If you’re having fun and want to keep going, we’ll roll with it.

You’re not alone. Most of my couples say the same thing at first. I totally get it, and I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve to help those nerves melt away.

I’ll keep you laughing, chatting, and focused on each other instead of the camera. Before you know it, you’ll be having so much fun you’ll forget you’re even being photographed. My goal is to capture genuine, happy moments that feel like you. No forced poses, just real connection.

I’m always keeping an eye on the weather leading up to your session. If there’s a high chance of rain or bad weather, I’ll reach out so we can decide whether to reschedule.

That said, I usually wait until the day of the shoot to make a final call, because let’s be real, Oklahoma weather changes by the hour. If we do need to move the session, no stress. We’ll find another time that works for you.

Coordinate, don’t match. Pick colours and styles that work well together rather than identical outfits. I usually suggest bringing one casual option and one slightly dressier option so we have a bit of variety, but honestly, wear what feels like you. The more comfortable you are in your outfit, the more comfortable you’ll look in the photos.

I’ve had couples take their engagement photos the day before their wedding, but ideally I recommend scheduling them about 4 to 6 months before, especially if you’re planning to send out save the dates.

As for the best time of day, evenings are my favourite. The lower sun gives us softer, more flattering light. No harsh shadows, no squinty eyes, no blown out backgrounds. Just that golden, dreamy glow that makes everything look amazing.

Your photos are typically culled, edited, and delivered within a week. So if your session is on a Saturday evening, you can usually expect your gallery by Wednesday or Thursday the following week.

All images are delivered in a private online gallery, where you can download the full resolution files and even order professional quality prints straight to your door. You’re also welcome to download them to a thumb drive and print at a lab of your choice, just keep in mind I can only guarantee colour and quality if you order through my recommended lab.

Some of my favourite spots include downtown OKC, the Myriad Botanical Gardens, and quieter parks across the metro, but honestly, anywhere that feels like you works. I also shoot in Tulsa, Edmond, Broken Arrow, Stillwater and Enid, so if you’re outside OKC itself, just ask.
